...it deserved a close-up.
Looking outside from the main floor of Hart House, on Hart House Circle. Hart House is, by far, one of the most charming buildings on campus and the best place in the city to buy maple syrup (a little known, but personally coveted, fact).
Saint George Street, just north of Willcocks Street, in front of Sidney Smith Hall: one of the many chip trucks. Well, they used to sell chips (and 'chips' by the British definition, as that), but now they sell hot dogs, poutine, and a variety Chinese food. It's like a cheap, symbolic Canadian microcosm for the epicurious.
Variations on a theme: a more dramatic image of the same truck with an homage to the CN Tower in the distance.
Harbord Street and Spadina Road: Graduate House. As ridiculous as it must sound, the first thing I think of when I look at this is Dick Tracy. Something about the high contrast and black-and-white palette, I think.
A rather eye-catching visual art installation at Hart House (west Hart House Circle entrance). My picture doesn't give sufficient credit to the beautifully crafted contrast and sharpness of this photo.
