Tonight's post is somewhat thematic, if only because it contrasts indoors and outdoors.

Not much of a theme, I know. Run with it.

I made pesto tonight. It was my second time making pesto, so I didn't bother with a recipe--just threw some things in my lovely little food processor and tasted it on occasion. The ingredients (in no particular amount): fresh basil leaves, sundried tomatoes (preserved in oil), pine nuts, some cloves of garlic, olive oil, sea salt, and my own 'secret'--balsamic vinegar. Lots of flavour, all ingredients I can eat. The result was tasty, if not a bit too salty. Still, making it was beautiful, watching the colours whirl together.
