(NOTE: There are actually photos of people from today, but given that I never got their permission to post anything online, my journal is only getting the non-people photos.)

I went to Toronto's Centre Island! With Nick and Christina! And there was a Hare Krishna festival! And they told us how our lives would be better and we would get jobs and be happy if only we chanted a four-line mantra! And we got a pamphlet with the four-line mantra! And Nick left his pamphlet with the miraculous four-line mantra in between the wood of an old picnic table on the beach so that other people could find it and get jobs and be happy!

And then we wandered around the island, mantra-less, because we're students and we're not going to have jobs for a long time, anyway.





While sitting on aforementioned beach, we noticed a huge group of birds (I'd say a "gaggle" of birds, but I believe "gaggle" is goose-specific terminology and I'm not about to be known as some ornithological ignoramus) flying in formation. The following photos barely capture how remarkable it was or how many there were. The whole group must have been at least 50 birds.
