Pedantry Digest

09 August 2006

Today I visited enemy grounds (York University) to work with a much-needed book that, shockingly, was not available at my university's library (what shame! what horror!). The enemy grounds are host to a surprisingly nice library--I actually enjoyed the concrete more than I thought I could or would.

The enemy grounds are also host to a building obviously erected in someone's honour. So the boy from Yorkshire now living in Canada now has his own building at York University. Coincidence? I think not. If the university has such an affinity for Yorkshire types, then it might not be a bad idea to import a few more from the area. Just imagine: Kieran Hall or the Jonny Commons.

I'm from Yorkshire, what building do I get?!

Tyas, mission accomplished, over and out.

Rachael, you get the Bata Shoe Museum. Granted, it's not on the York University campus (in fact, it's right on the edge of the University of Toronto campus), but I feel like it would suit you well.
