John P. Robarts Research Library, Huron Street and Sussex Avenue. As if it needed my help to look ominous.




North-south alley north of Glen Morris Avenue, south of Sussex Avenue, east of Spadina Road, and west of Huron Street. I was playing with colour saturation today. This was my attempt at turning red bricks orange.




Sussex Club House, Huron Street and Sussex Avenue.




North-south alley running along Graduate House, Harbord Street and Spadina Road. More play with colour saturation. This is, for the most part, too bright, too saturated to abstraction for my taste. But it's experimentation, so I'm posting it. I think I pushed the limit too far, but it has its merits.




The other side of Sussex Club House.




My PowerBook G4 as a palette for a black-and-white gradient.




Yet another side of Sussex Club House. On first glance, it doesn't appear to be a noteworthy building, but I found that yielding to a few different angles helped to reveal some of the more striking aspects of the structure.




This is Ross sitting across the table from me at Starbucks while he and I marked papers (English for him, Physiological Psychology for me...which, sadly, could not always be described as having been written in English). Ross, I don't know what you were talking about earlier--you are beautifully photogenic!

Hmm, I shall make a note of that...

Meanwhile, any and all photos of me smiling find me with one eye more squinted than the other. I am pirate-chic (were it the case that a pirate was not afforded the luxury of a stylish eye patch).
